Joyce Lipton Rogak
Joyce Lipton Rogak is a trial attorney as well as the firm’s managing attorney. She has received the prestigious AV rating from Martindale Hubbell. Prior to forming Rogak, Gibbons & De Siver, LLP in 2000, she was a Partner and the head of the Medical Malpractice Department of a large Long Island law firm. Ms. Lipton Rogak has successfully defended numerous cases in the New York State Supreme Courts. with Ms. Lipton Rogak also handles every other aspect involving medical, podiatric and dental malpractice, including depositions, research, medical and legal analysis preparing and arguing Appeals. product She also defends physicians before the OPMC.
Ms. Lipton Rogak’s accumulation of knowledge in the area of medicine over the years and her ability to think “out of the box” for strategic purposes, has been of tremendous value to the analysis and defense of cases. She is the author of several articles which have appeared in specialty medical newsletters and legal journals. Joyce authored a chapter about jury selection, published in the book, Medical Malpractice in New York, (4th edition, 2017), released by the New York State Bar Association. An article about, “res ipsa loquitur” was published in the Risk Management Quarterly. Recently, Joyce gave a CLE lecture on the topic of “Continuous Treatment,” to members of the Nassau County Bar Association.
Joyce is a Past President of Temple Avodah, where she continues to serve on the Board of Directors. She is an American History buff, whose goal is to read biographies of every the U.S. President. She has an impressive collection of signed paperweights and fawns over her two Cockapoo dogs.
Ms. Lipton Rogak was admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 1981. She is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Lipton Rogak received her Juris Doctorate degree from Hofstra University Law School, and her Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Brooklyn College.
