David B. De Siver
David B. De Siver is a Partner in our firm. He continues to enjoy successfully representing the interests of physicians, hospitals and medical providers. He is also proficient in matters involving dental and podiatric liability claims. Following oral argument in the Appellate Division, Second Department, he obtained a favorable decision for his client, which also benefited the Medical Malpractice defense bar as a whole. The case is widely recognized as making significant new law, overruling Second Department precedent on issues related to the use of experts for summary judgment purposes. Mr. De Siver has been quoted in the New York Law Journal on this issue.
Mr. De Siver was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1994. He earned his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree with Dean’s List recognition, from the State University of New York, at Albany. Mr. De Siver’s writings concerning several constitutional and legal issues have appeared in specialty legal newspapers and scholarly publications. He is also experienced in various specialized areas of law including premises liability, discrimination, personal injury, and claims of negligent infliction of emotional distress.
David is also a divorce mediator and has served as a mediator at the request of the New York State Supreme Court, Nassau County, on multiple occasions. His outside pastimes include coaching his twin childrens’ sports teams and playing the piano.
